4As offers an unusual twist with a course for marketers, training clients on how to get maximum value from their agencies

The Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia (4As) will offer a training course “Inspiring Great Work and Better Value from Your Agency” to marketers in an eight-hour series conducted online in two parts.

Taking a different approach to its usual slate of workshops for advertising practitioners, this latest offering from the 4As is intended for those in Marketing and Corporate Communications roles who have regular day-to-day contact with their Advertising Agencies, digital, social media, or PR Agencies.

“Inspiring Great Work and Better Value from Your Agency” reveals best practice on how to influence Marketers’ Advertising Agency partners to consistently produce relevant, attention getting and engaging work that delivers greater results, and equips Marketers with the key skills to work in a more efficient and productive way with their Agency partners.

The course will provide Marketers with: a clearer insight into what can make or break their Agency and internal relationships; a greater understanding of how to build alignment with their Agency partners and make the relationship more constructive; the ability to write better Creative Briefs; the knowledge of how to brief Agencies in a more inspiring way; the ability to provide feedback in a more confident and constructive way; recognition of the power of the RASCI (Responsible, Accountable, Supportive, Consulted, Informed) matrix for managing creative development with their Agencies and within their own organisations.

“Successful marketing and advertising boils down to a successful relationship between the Marketer and their Agency,” said Khairudin Rahim, 4As CEO. “After attending, we expect delegates who currently feel frustrated by difficult relationships with Agencies and sometimes with internal colleagues to be transformed into more confident and better Marketers. They will leave with the understanding that in the end, strong brands are built by the combination of great people driving great processes – you can’t have one without the other.”

The course will be conducted by Paul Burns, a Chartered Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA) UK endorsed trainer with a wide range of veteran industry experience including leadership positions at Saatchi & Saatchi UK, and creator of award-winning training programmes.

“Inspiring Great Work and Better Value from Your Agency” will be held for groups of up to nine delegates from the same company. The course is available with prior bookings from May to July.
